Boise, Skippy ....why attempt to rip the kid?
congratulations Kal hope all your dreams work out!
for Boise and others who dont know, wakons are "not" accepted on High Major teams unless the coaching staff wants them, hell not many walkons accepted anywhere........at USC you have a walk-on from UNC......thats right North Carolina, so a kid of that caliber UNC....still had to walk on at USC....probably wishes he had stayed in light of Floyd leaving....
but Kal walking on makes sense if you think about it, according to Robinett, he came to ISU with a broken hand, never really healed, lost his best friend at 22yr old to cancer, then got some virus, followed only by re-breaking his hand, he played well for us and got along with all the players from what I am told, just was never 100%, you cant expect much playing time under those circumstances.
since he has 2 years to make 1 he moves home, gets in state tuition, ASU gets him for a year for free and he plays out his 5th year (next season) for them, meanwhile he is part of a top 25 team, travels, trains and is mentored by a great coach and staff, great move for both parties!
