As Murrell said after the game, Fox played like Sac State - full court press for the whole game. Well, they left off on it for the last ten minutes or so. We barely coped with it - needs practice. Brock is a new player! The difference between this year and the last is like night and day. It's a pleasure to watch her now. Lantz was Lantz. Freshman Parry is going to be a regular contributor (that buzzer-beating 3 at the end was pretty). With Rivard and Misa back…...

D3......and actually Fox had pretty poor transition defense that helped us. Turnovers by primary ball handlers are worrisome, 42 -19 trips to line, maybe some home cookin? Brock had a great game, Parry is good but will have to adjust her defense to college level. Like the 10 second rule, hate the new hand check calls. Let's see how we do against D1, St. Mary's will be a more realistic challenge they just beat university of washington although Fox is an excellent D3 team. Go Viks!!!

NOT A REPLY... A COMMENT

I've read these postings with interest. Want to ask Coach Murell DIRECTLY?

A challenge went out two weeks ago - from Coach Murrell - to "STUFF" the Coaches Lunches this year. For those of you that aren't aware:

"VIKING COACHES' LUNCHEONS: Viking Coaches Luncheons take place at noon every Monday at the Old Spaghetti Factory and continue weekly through March. Coach Nigel Burton, Viking players, and coaches representing other sports will be on hand to speak and take questions. Luncheons take place at The OSF at 0715 S.W. Bancroft in Portland. The cost is $10.00 per person and includes lunch and a non-alcoholic beverage"

So, there you have it. I'll be there. Will you?
