Thursday night tip in Fresno. Looking forward to seeing how the Cats play on the road. Loved the early season effort against USU (PSU beat the Aggies, but they were without McEwen and that is a major loss for the Ags) and the effort in the Bahamas. Now the Cats need to start growing up fast. This is a winnable road game. Yes, Fresno is a good team and will defend their home court well. However, they are beatable, and I feel the Cats are good enough to beat the Bulldogs.

If nothing more, this is a great early season match up for the Cats. Fresno, looks very very similar to the Cats, except, they have played some better teams. Deshon Taylor is averaging 19 a game and 6-8 Freshman Center Bryson Williams is grabbing a team high 7.8 rebounds per game. They get 12 assists per game and are shooting .414 outside the arch. Not the best FT shooting team, and inside the arch they are only .493. Weber is currently .532 overall FG, .736 FT, and .444 from three. If the Cats have a decent shooting night, play stingy defense, and stay out of foul trouble, they could home with a W.

Feel kinda bad for the hoops team right now, they are being heavily overshadowed by the success of the football team. Fresno is a very winnable game but like Tal said the bench needs to step up and help the starters by contributing productive minutes.

Anybody know if this one will be available to watch online?

Not hard to be over shadowed when 2 of your first 3 home games are against non D1 talent. It is about time the football team got some love.

WILDCAT,

Nice!! Thank you. Looks like this is a free stream too. Usually, with a game against a MW team, there is far more excitement and also, we would have some game notes, but Paul is pretty busy with football right now. He'll get them out though for this game. No matter, we all have to appreciate what Coach Rahe said after the game on Saturday about the upcoming football game. Loved it!

Gonna be a busy night for me,

Weber plays at Fresneck, The Boys are playing the Skins and the LA Kings are at the Caps.

Hopefully my teams go 3 for 3 tonight.

Game Day!! Lets go Cats. Go down to Fresno and get the W. I really feel that Weber is coming together as a team. I know, the last team wasn't very good, but it showed us one thing, that the team is getting better and progressing. After watching last weekends game I felt that our offense is becoming a little more fluid and defensively we are progressing towards being a lock down team. We will see how much progress has been made tonight against a good Fresno State team.

Another thought...read that this is a 2-1 contract. That Fresno will come to Ogden next year and we will return to Fresno the following season. Good to see that Randy is making these deals. Also, good to see that Fresno is willing to come to Ogden. I don't understand why we can't get 1-1 with Big West or WCC teams.

Yes, we all watching a good offensive team; however, I think this Wildcat team has the potential of being one of the best defensive teams to ever play in Ogden. They aren't there yet and still have a ways to go, but there is such potential. We are long, lanky, speedy, and tall. Teams should being getting destroyed on the glass. That is more toughness than anything else. It'll come.

Started very slow, then picked it up then ended slow. Not the best half of Basketball, but it could have been worse.

This is wha happens when you constantly schedule teams like Black Hills St., Presentation College, West Coast Baptist, etc. I know we talk about this alllllll the time, but Rahe can not beat the better competition teams. in 11 years, his best OOC win is Dayton, and thats it. The fact we let Cannon and Gittens leave, is still beyond me. This is going to be a very long year..

the box score is so strange to look at. almost every line looks amazing except for 2. :o

minus to's it looks like we could have served them. please note i didnt see the game. only saw the box. fresno looks like they are actually good so maybe they had great D.

It was an in your face press and for most of the first half we had no clue what to do. Everyone was turning it over. We beat it a few times and started to look better, but most of the damage was already done. Our team and especially Chapman, baffle me. It is either on or off not a lot in the middle.
