Friday red out

Why doesn't the EAA or athletic dept call for game day Fridays be Red Out. Everyone wear Eagle gear regardless where you live and if you are going to the game or not.
Good opportunity to promote all Eastern athletics.
 
That's a good idea. I have been rocking my eagle gear on Fridays since I graduated and started working. I work with a bunch of WSU/UW and MSU grads so I have to show off my gear.
 
I'm a high school teacher and every Wednesday we can wear our college gear, which I do faithfully. Additionally, I have my classroom decked out with EWU propaganda.

Same here, our colors for our high school are purple and gold. I had red and black chairs in the room that I had to paint logos on so we were all set! I think my students are tired of coming in on Monday to Eastern highlights playing on the projector!
 
Where do you guys teach?

Sounds like a Handford High down in the tri cities, but i imagine purple and gold is everywhere.

Mabton, Columbia Burbank, and Concrete also have purple and gold.
 
The game is a red out, though. The team will be wearing black. I'm assuming there will be a black out for another game. The bookstore has the new jerseys for sale, on a separate note.

Red out goes with EWU's IncREDible motto. Nice contrast to the black jerseys of the players and no one can say we "cheated" by blending into the turf with red jerseys (which is an idiotic argument, but used nonetheless). This will be AWESOME, my family will be decked out in front of the TV today. GO EAGS! :D
 
I thought the "Red Out" was successful. I don't think I've seen that much uniformity in color at an Eags game ever. It was awesome!
