I’m on my iPad so I can’t link, but ESPNs bracketology has Eastern projected to win the Big Sky and open the Big Dance with Maryland. Bring on the Terps!

The best part is Joe Lunardi has us as a 15-seed right now. That's what a win against Belmont will do for you. If we make the Dance this year, it's important that we stay off that 16-seed line.

go eags!

I think it also helps that we play “attractive” basketball. We’re a fun team to watch, and if the shots go in, we’ve got at least a chance against most anyone. Obviously, the concern is when we line up against big, physical teams that can dominate on the inside.

So let's take down GU then move up to a 10 or 12 seed in the tourney ;)

Dream on Tomq, but this is the first time I can remember the Eagles are capable of putting up a good showing.

Didn't we keep it close last time we played them? Which wasn't that long ago? Maybe like 2012 - back when our stud Chiverton was doing his thing.

It's not like Eastern has never beaten Gonzaga before... it's happened several times. Unfortunately, it hasn't happened in a long while. They're kind of a smooth running machine right now. But you're right, although we haven't played them in a long while, we were neck and neck with them a few times over the last 15 years or so. We played them in Spokane Arena around 2002 or thereabouts and pissed away a 16 point lead in the last 10 minutes or so. We took them to OT a few years later.
