... to all our DTs for making the middle of the line a complete brick wall all day long.

... to Bo Schuetzle for coming in and doing a monster job at safety. Two picks were just gravy compared to some of the big stops he made today.

... to Cory Mitchell for being the only offensive player to show up early on and will us some big first downs. Without those plays, momentum would have been really against us early.

I thought T.J. Lee was playing safety and Scheutzle was playing boundary corner where Lee usually plays? Either way, I thought he played a fine game, what with the two interceptions and a handful of great tackles. Pulu was a monster, as usual, and spot on about Cory Mutchell. He had a couple of incredible catches very early on to give us a little bit of life.

Yup, you're right. I meant to say a monster job at corner... my brain was moving a little bit faster than I could type. Still, he played awesome!!!

What about some love for Jase Butorac? Miller was hurt early at the very important center position, and Jase who has waiting patiently in the wings, came in and I thought (the coaches will grade him) played great. It showed the importance of having strong backups at every position if you want to keep advancing in the playoffs.

It's an unwritten rule no one is suppose to give the O-Line credit as they are the unsung hero's. The only one's that can credit to the O-Line is the QB and/or RB.

You could type out a Homerian Epic about the brilliance and valor displayed by the offensive line. You could describe them as "immortals" and liken their display to the Spartan line at Thermopylae.

But those stupid fucks can't read.

Bud, you're confusing the O-line with those mouth breathers on the defensive side of things. Anyone with half a shred of credibility will tell you that most O-linemen are not only literate, but capable of great feats. I once witnessed an OG reading Aristotle during an important 3rd down play, while the tackle next to him managed to divide by zero, all while picking up a cowboy blitz off the edge. Scholars and gentlemen, indeed.

Didn't Toronto's mayor Rob Ford play center prior to his career as a politician? Most OL are those gentlemen oft referred to as "living in a van, down by the river."

Haha I don't know about that, but I'm pretty sure a career as a crackpipe enthusiast supercedes anything else. As for livin' in a van down by the river, we see it as more of a right of passage. Like a butterfly from the chrysalis, the o-lineman emerges from the van a changed and enlightened being.

The only reason an o-lineman would ever deign to "live in a van down by the river" would be to gain a sociological perspective of his defensive counterpart. This is, of course, given that said defensive lineman ever managed to overcome his considerably disadvantaged intellect and emerge from the primordial ooze, knuckles dragging, in search of the meager, yet considerably overreaching plight of waterfront property- albeit in mobile form.

This thread delivers!

Oh... And from what I've read, Rob Ford has plenty to eat at home.
