Game Day

Two things about Game Day come to mind, need a little help. What time does the Will Call open on Friday so we can pick up our tickets early? The other is where should our fans gather who have missed out on the EWU pre-game tailgate, which sold out with over 400 attendees? My wife and I have tickets to the tailgate but we're too late to buy one for a friend who will be with us.

Some of us gathered last night for our second EAA "Overtime" and we had a great time. Some player parents joined us and they let us know after hearing from their boys that our plane had landed in Texas. We also had Bryan Jarrett with us and he told us what it was like when the Eagles played App State in Boone in 2007. Bryan was #6 and he scored on a fake punt with a 51 yard dash to the end zone in the 3rd quarter. This was one of the greatest games I've ever witnessed, even though we lost 38-35. The 2007 App State team was pretty good, ask the Delaware players who lost to them 49-21 in the 2007 national championship game.

Travel safe, stay humble and be polite to the Hen fans after we prevail Friday.

No idea on will call EAA, but I might be able to help on the tailgate.

I'm part of a group of about 20 who are sitting together, and some of the guys who live or have contacts in Texas are bringing grills and making a Costco run either today or tomorrow. Kind of a "chip-in" tailgate - $10-$20 (actual amount's up in the air right now) for burgers, chips, sides, beer, etc. If you want, send me a PM and I'll put you in touch with the guy who's coordinating.

Save travels everyone, will see you in Texas!

I'll gladly chip in. I know plenty of former players that will be willing to do the same, considering most of us forgot to RSVP to the BBQ tailgate

Thanks guys, much appreciated. My friend helped organize our "Road Show" event in Tacoma after Coach Baldwin was hired in 2008, he is a tremendous guy and he loves the Eagles. He is so proud of the Pierce County guys and how they've led this team to the national championship game. My fault for not sending him the Alumni email so he could sign up for the EWU tailgate but I think there will be plenty of places to party in Frisco on Friday. All is good, printing my Southwest boarding pass here in just a couple of hours so my wife and I can sit together and start the party once we take off tomorrow afternoon. Go Eagles!
