Gameday Traditions!

I'm so pumped for this game! My only complaint is that I couldn't make it over to Cheney in person due to some unavoidable commitments. So birdbros, what are your personal gameday traditions or rituals?

I must have at least 3 coors lights before each kickoff and I refuse to speak to anyone while the Offense is on the field. Go Eagles!

not sure if it is a tradition or a requirement, to yell/scream/hoop-n-holler at your computer/tv/tablet/listening device as often as possible.

If i'm not hoarse, we probably won't win.

That of course goes double when i actually make it to cheney :) (which i can't do today... :( )

Ok..while I am thrilled to get that win under our belt there was something that happened today that will NOT become a tradition. I had meetings in San Francisco this week and when I go to board the plane this morning for a flight to Portland and then on to Spokane what do I see but the horizon "Griz" plane parked at the gate. Oh Crap I am thinking...I HATE riding on that thing and it ticks me off to no end that we don't have an EWU plane in team colors but what can I do? I knew I was going to miss the first couple of series as it was with the tight schedule so I get on the dang plane and head off. The entire flight I am trying to justify how this is not an absolute abomination and how maybe, since the Griz are home for the holidays, this is just good BSC karma but got to admit, I was really nervous today and promise not to jeopardize future games. Feel like we really dodged a bad luck whammy today!

Does it piss anyone else off that the reported attendance was 4,277?? That is so far from accurate that it's an absolute JOKE!!! There was definitely more people at this game than there was the week before which was reported at over 6,100+.

EWU is shooting themselves in the foot by reported sh*t like this....

Seems like playoff games are always under reported (something to do with how the NCAA requires the count). That factored with classes being done makes for a tough turnout. No doubt there were more bodies in the stands than that figure reflects but the end zone did look a little sparse.

What I don't understand is that attendance was 7,000+, 7,500+, and 7,600+ for the three home playoff games last season. Did we really lose that much momentum from last year to this year?? Students were gone last playoff season too...I understand it was bitter cold the first playoff game, but we still had 6,100+. What is going on? I have a pretty damn good idea what the problem is, but I'll wait to hear from some of you first.

I have 3 theories on this . . .1 is that the tickets are more expensive than in years past 30 and 20. Weren't they like 10 and 5 and they discounted them/got companies to by lots (10-20 for on the cheap)?
2nd theory is people have figured out how to navigate the intraweb for espn3 and instead have decided to stay inside.
#3 and not in Spokane Area as much, but is there a lot of promotion/advertising going on and have they left the dorm open for students to stay like in the past?

Going up against the Cougars won't help this week even though there are DVR's/VCR's still around.

I will add this that NO ONE CAN COMPLAIN ABOUT THE SPOKESMAN ANYMORE as Jim Allen is writing/promoting the $$hit out of the Eagles!! Way to Step it up!
