Georgia Southern or Delaware?

Who do we match up better with? My initial thought is GSU. They run the option, which I think we have proven we can stop. The alternative is a pretty decent offense with a great QB.

Thoughts?

I agree with Georgia Southern. Our D is already tough against the run and we have the team speed needed to shut down the option. The option is tough to get ready for in a week if you haven't faced it much, but given 3 weeks to prepare, I'm confident we could shut down a triple option offense.

Maybe we can get Sczcar to donate some bone marrow for TJ's foot.

Go Eags.

Hi. I don't mean to be rude but I read your exchange and just had to respond. Though I don't agree with your assesment, I/we welcome your backing for a GSU victory. We have been underestimated all year by our opponents and we understand why that has happened. Nobody thought we would come this far in a legitimate rebuilding year. We absolutely welcome your support for a GSU victory but don't be surprised if it actually happens. Under-respect seems to be our greatest weapon.

Congratulations on your victory over 'Nova. Your victory pleased alot of us and hopefully reduced the excessive pride of the CAA down a peg or two. You've got a great team and congrats for making the big show.

AutoXgirl - congrats to a great season, you've earned it. And by all means, we know just how it feels to be under-estimated. We've been picked against in just about every big game this year. And don't take the comments the wrong way. Either team will be a huge challenge, just like Nova was. I just think most people think we match-up better against a run-based team, since our run defense has been much stronger than our passing defense this year. Good luck against Delaware, I know I'll be rooting your guys on! I'd like nothing better than to shut those arrogant CAA fans up.

Let's make it an all Eagles National Championship!

Thank you, EWURanger. We'll keep our fingers crossed for today. BTW, does the 'Ranger' part of your username signify that you are/were an Army Ranger? I know 2nd Battalion used to be station up there. I was close to a guy who was with the 1st Battalion from Ft. Stewart.
