I've been saying for the last year that this is the season where we can take the step from quality FCS program to ELITE FCS program. If we can get into the semis, I'd say mission accomplished and everything after that is just gravy.

We've got a live dog opponent in Cheney that brings big bodies and a lot of talent on both sides of the ball. I don't think Illinois State is among the best we've played this season, but they are still a damn good football team. We WILL WIN if WE PLAY GREAT. If we only play decent, we better hope they also play less than great. I could see a lot of possible outcomes tomorrow, from them stomping us on our homefield, to us running them out with a big margin win. This is all going to come down to focus and intensity.

I have a feeling the Eagles are due. We have something to prove, and when we play 60 minutes, we're going to be tough for any team to beat. I'm really feeling optimistic about what will transpire tomorrow, and I pray I'm getting it right.

GO EAGLES!!! This is the kind of game we live for, win or we're out.

Ooooh! Snappy got a spanking!

I agree we have to click on all cylinders. I disagree that we've played better teams. IMHO, Illinois State looks to be the best team we'll face so far this year (after we win I'll say the same thing about Sam Houston State based on last night's performance).

Leaving in 2 hours. Here's to hoping The Pass is plowed...

Don't forget your long johns! 24 deg here

The Redbirds won't fly, too many Eagles in the sky. There will be many factors in today's win. One is the game is sold out. Great marketing strategy by our AD and staff. You snooze, you lose. Buy season tickets.

Also, the new addition to the athletic department in a significant leadership role will be an excellent hire. Ken Halpin will do well in his new role.

A win today will be worth millions for the Gateway Project. No pressure Beau and staff, just another day in college football. A shout out to Troy Kirby for the work he did before he went to NoCal and UC-Davis. You are part of this too young man. We miss you but we are doing just fine. All the former coaches and assistant coaches and former players are part of this too. Post above is correct, we can enter the elite today. And we will, very tough opponent but this is the playoffs, they are all tough.

I briefly talked to Will Post this week and he said the defensive front seven is the best they've faced all year. But he said they'd be ready.
