Go F#%k yourself Jon L. Smith

I want to fight this son of a bitch! I will straight up kick him in the nutz and make him tap out. EPH you John L.

Dang. This thought crossed my mind a couple weeks ago, but I didn't think it would happen... Not because I trusted JLS but because I thought Arkansas has the UAB coach. I wonder what Weber is gonna do now...

Aw come on Rehab, tell us what you REALLY think
Do you think he will make closer to 5x his Weber salary or 10x? We all have a little prostitute in us just do not know what that price is

At least Weber isn't as cheap and easy as Eastern Washington. At least the Secret Service would want to fuck us, unlike the dirty, slimy, crap that is found in Cheney.

I'm stunned! Totally at a loss. Never, in a million years, did I see this coming. YIKES!

i know that I was not the most liked poster when I said let's hire Eck in the transition; but I supported John L. because he was chosen.

Today I feel that he never cared about WSU but only himself....PERIOD.

Im a Marshall fan and I can tell you this isn't John L Smith's first controversial hiring. In 2002 when he was hired at Michigan State the news broke that he had accepted the Spartan job at halftime of the GMAC Bowl against Marshall.

His sustained success in Louisville earned a trip to East Lansing and the opportunity to lead Michigan State, but the circumstances surrounding his exit were heavily criticized. He notified his Louisville players that he was leaving for Michigan State at halftime of the Cardinals' 38-15 loss to Marshall in the 2002 GMAC Bowl.

This is as close to an article I can find on that situation. John L Smith didn't coach the 2nd half of that game, Bobby Patrino did.

I'm as shocked as everyone else. Who I think got screwed the most, however, was the players. Hopefully they can pull it together and still make 2012 a great season.

If I'm reading one of the ESPN stories correctly, it implies John L. reached out to Arkansas? Is that the understanding most people have? I wonder if he really thought this through. What if he goes 6-6 in his one year and is let go? Who else, especially at the FCS level would ever hire him? I think he just sealed his fate as an assistant coach for the rest of his career.

Yes, JLS contacted Arkansas. That seemed to really upset Bovee, who had thought that Arkansas reached out to him. And it's all about the $. He will be making $800K+ in 10 months, more than he would have made in his entire contract with Weber.
