Next up, game #2 of this mini road trip against Grand Canyon on Tuesday, 12-11 at 6pm (5pm for us here) in Phoenix. The Antelopes are currently 2-5 and coming off a home loss to Montana last Friday, 69-47. Both of their wins have come at home against Incarnate Word (74-63) and LIU-Brooklyn (65-63 in double overtime). They are out of the WAC. They do not have anyone from the Pacific NW.

Can't let up. Need this one.

I don't imagine we'll let up. It's early days and I'd guess the team knows it. Points worth noting - the inevitable happened, they tried to focus on Bolston and Reilley, leaving the floor free for Kylie. She hit 21. And- we have the depth to wear out the other team. They all slow down in the fourth quarter. And: the UTEP coach blamed their loss on among other things our size. We don't in fact have particularly big players. We do, however, have several six footers. That may make a difference. And: Ainta is turning out to be a good shooter. We're building a strong bench.
On to Grand Canyon.

We just scraped by GCU tonight. Don't know what went wrong. GCU defense was good. We didn't hit threes. We were bailed out by perfect 100% free throws. Kylie was the only one to hit threes. Too many turnovers..
We'll have to do much better if we want to beat UNLV.

For what it's worth, our women's team is listed now as #29 on the Mid-Major standing, just outside the top 25 list.
