After watching this game, I am feeling much more positive about this year. Kudos to coach Riley and staff for putting this team together under extraordinary conditions. This team will surprise the BSC.
The EAGS last opponent, Nevada, is a good team and will challenge Colorado State for the Mountain West conference title. That Nevada backcourt of Sherfield and Cambridge Jr. are the best the EAGS will play against in the regular season. However, the EAGS allowed them to drive to the hoop way too often and need to increase their defensive intensity.
I thought the transfers (Bergersen. Allegri, Acliese III and George) all played well and are the core of this new team. They are all athletic and have a ton of game experience. They just need to be in the fire and cook as a team. Rouse and Magnuson are going to be keys to the success of this team. They need to set the offense and shoot well when open. Steele Venters will continue to develop, and he will improve dramatically as the year progresses.
I think the EAGS coaches stole Ethan Price from other Universities. He played good for a freshman in his first college game. He had to play against two seven footers and held his own. He moves well for a big young guy, shoots the three well, and has a high ceiling. He will be the best center in the BSC in future years.
