Heckuva road trip, team is rolling right now!!! Tied for first in the league but we will need the Griz to drop one to No Co or SUU to win the 1 seed!

Team looks ready for Boise!

For whatever value there is, if northern Colorado beats Montana then I think the bears get the 2 seed and the eags get the 1 seed.

So someone lend me hand. We have ISU and WSU both @ home left. UNC on road @ UM and then @ MSU. UM has UNC and SUU @ home (both tough teams). 1,2 and 3 seeds at stake. Trying to figure out all the possible scenerios. Will the #1 seed be on one side of bracket and the #2 and #3 on the other side? That would be ideal and a real plus for #1 seed. Wondering if we tie with UNC and/or UM for first who may get that #1 seed. And if there is a tie do the teams that tie all get BSC Champion rings? These EWU boys are deserving of a ring!

Eastern needs to win out and have a Montana loss to get the #1 seed. If that UM loss is to UNC, and UNC wins their other, they'd be the #2 seed if Eastern wins out. There's a lot of combinations beyond that.

The piece to note is Montana holds the tiebreaker on Eastern, UNC would hold the tiebreaker on Montana if they beat them. If UNC wins out, Montana goes 1-1, and Eastern also goes 1-1, I have absolutely no freaking idea, but it would be a mess. I *think* Eastern would be the #1 seed in that scenario, because Montana, Eastern, and UNC would all then be 2-2 against the teams tied at the top. Eastern would have sweeps over all the teams at the top of the standings below the three tied teams, which would be the determining criteria in that scenario.

The strange thing is Eastern would hold a lot of tiebreakers except head-to-head on Montana owing to the fact two of our losses came to teams WAY down the conference standings (Idaho and Idaho State). And a thought to go with that... how the HELL did we lose to Idaho at home? They are God-forsaken awful. Of course, they were awful in football too and we lost to them as well.

WTF is up with Eastern playing their worst game of the year against these dipshits in multiple sports? Some of these kids need a history lesson in how badly Idaho has treated Eastern as an institution. That is a team Eastern should always be highly motivated to beat.

One other thing to note, if Eastern wins out, we'd be designated as the conference champion regardless of whatever else happens (I expect the Griz to win out). The Big Sky recognizes co-champions. Even though it would mean a #2 seed, we'd still be hanging the conference championship banner for the 2019-20 regular season.

We hold basically every tie breaker except head to head over Montana...

The good thing about the 1 seed is they wouldn’t have to face both UM and UNC and the conference 1 seed is guaranteed an NIT bid if they don’t win the tourney

I gotta admit, I didn't see two road wins coming this last weekend. That was actually pretty impressive. It just baffles me that we can beat teams like that on the road but we'll drop a home game to the last place team in the Big Sky. I know other people on this board are scratching their head about that as well. We have such an interesting team. So many weapons. I don't think we've played anywhere near our best ball yet either. Hopefully we just go-off in the tourney. I think right now it's about learning how to become mentally tough and finish off games. I believe that both Northern Colorado and Southern Utah are capable of knocking off the Griz, but it will take some work in Missoula. This will be a fun week to see how things shape up in the Sky.

go eags!

Is it too early to worry about Legans leaving??

They play U Mont Thursday in Missoula, UNC wins, EWU wins out Eags have the #1 seed in the BSC tourney and would avoid Mont and UNC until the champ game. This is assuming EWU beats ISU & WSU this week in Cheney.

As much as I love our team, I don't think I will ever assume anything with this year's team.

Agreed. If we can lose at home to Idaho, we can lose to anyone. That should be a wake-up call.

Can't speak for the Idaho State loss, but that loss to the Vandals in Cheney was incredibly strange. Idaho shot the lights out in the first half, and Eastern couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. At halftime, the margin was too great. The effort was there, but Murphy's Law was in full effect. The Saint Louis game was similar in some respects.
