For a good laugh.........

I spent a few minutes trolling around their forum. It was hilarious. Sounds like they are about ready to start eating their young. Conspiracy theories are abounding. It's a Trump rally with a basketball theme.

Made my day.

...after reading their forum, I would like to sincerely apologize to all of the posters here I may have thought of as crazy in the past. None of you guys hold a candle to the nutters over there

They have quite a few conspiracy theories going on over there. I won't tell them that I saw Oldrunner with a big wad of cash in the Key bank building last spring before the schedule was released.

I laugh when people use the Weber is 3.4 miles up the road from the conference offices there must be some fishy scheduling going on there. I loved it a few years back when Sacstateman was claiming foul that Sac only played in Ogden that year. Until we move to a 22 game conference schedule, there are going to be two teams that we only play at home and two teams we only play on the road each year.

But Montanas beef this year is that we play them over the holiday break? Cry me a river. As I looked at the schedules, I thought we had a really tough start with the Montana swing then at Idaho State (was Picked 5 preseason) then the following week at home with two more of the top teams in the conference in Idaho and Eastern W.

Jeremy just got player of the week for the 3rd week in a row. That must of been that home cooking. I actually think that being close to the conference offices isn't that great. Remember when Joe Cravens got suspended for candidly saying that he thought the officiating sucked at one of our games on a local radio show. A Big Sky staffer was listening and took action.

Montana isn't very good at saying we got beat by a better team. It is always the reffing and the scheduling. How about them saying that they out played us the whole time except for that last shot?

I have a couple of friends up there, who are UM fans. I get a bit of an inside view of that. They are passionate fans, and that is good. There really is nothing else in Montana and UM is the big dog. They are isolated enough for that "us vs the rest of the world" attitude to develop. We get that a little as well, but not quite to the extent that they do.

In that game we were whistled for 26 fouls to their 21. We turned it over 4 times to their 1. We made 2 more shots than they did, even though they got 4 more attempts. We made one more free throw and we out rebounded them by 2. The difference in this game was that we out shot them, plain and simple. I don't see any indication of favoritism by the officials. If anything, UM didn't get the favoritism they are used to on their home floor and it pisses them off. They are so used to BSC refs that they just can not accept independent officiating. They are looking at things through maroon/moron glasses. Just like we sometimes see things only through purple lenses.

Fixed it for you. :-D

Also the Griz for being the "everyone against us" group that they are were given the foul to win call at the end. The ref didn't have to blow his whistle but he did. But they are still the victims.

And whatever you do, don't go on there and talk about controversies about detailed events or one of the Griz fans will accuse you of saying the Griz always get all the calls.

Had we lost I would still say the same thing -- That was one of the best played, most entertaining games I have seen in years. Both teams protected the ball well. Both teams hit clutch shots and it seemed like every kid who came off the bench had something to contribute. The lead went back and forth and the players on both sides were real warriors. There was a ton of drama and it seemed a bit like a boxing match where both teams would get their blows in, only to have their opponent respond. Seriously a great game and I enjoyed every minute.

100% in agreement. In that game, the two teams seemed quite evenly matched. It was a well played game on both sides. Griz fans are claiming that they were, some how, cheated out of a win. This year we get to play them twice. If they come to our floor and dominate us, they would then have reason to think of themselves as a better team. Otherwise, they need to shut the he!! up. That game was on their HOME floor. The HOME floor is, statistically, worth about 10 points. So....., Griz...., come to Ogden and put up or shut up. :coffee:

I think sometimes, as fans, we all have an "us against the world" mentality, but eGrizzers are a special breed of delusional. :jack:

If anything...it is a lot of fun reading their comments. I especially love the "conference offices being 3.4 miles away" conspiracy. Yes, that definitely makes a difference.

However, I'm glad that they hate reNo as much as I do. Yet, I would definitely hate Spokane more. Boise would have been a perfect location. But, Boise wasn't interested. One major positive for all of us...Bobcat Foolerton is gone.

Go check the board today after they beat Idaho on the road. All smiles and they are talking about bringing their brooms to Eastern for the road sweep. I watched the Montana Idaho game and thought that the Vandals didn't look very good. Had several scoring droughts where they just couldn't buy a bucket.

I watched that game as well. UI turned the ball over at least 20 times and was still in that game most of the way. UM played poorly as well. It was not the same team that took us into overtime.

I watched parts of several of the games yesterday. I wasn't overly impressed by anyone. SUU's win at UNCO was probably the most impressive. NAU and UND both looked pathetic.
