Griz Fan Loves Playoffs!!

Yes, I am a Griz fan...and I love playoff games!! More intensity...usually cold weather. They are a blast!!! And because my team SUCKED so bad this year, I am now coming to Cheney to give my full support to EWU in the playoffs. And in the 2nd round, I would love to see you play the Cats again. I will go to that one too (and root for EWU by the way!).

We need to be LOUD and ROWDY for this game. And hope for cold weather!! Some of those southern teams just fold when it is real cold. It has happened in Missoula many times. Last year Stephen F. Austin came up here thinking they were going to beat us, and they lost 51-0.....and it was very cold.

And if you see someone at the game with a Griz coat on....don't be afraid to buy him a beer!!!!!!!!

Bring em by the truckload! I'll have some slow cooked pulled pork and probably some brats on the grill in the upper lot, look for the EWU flag and the white car. I know our stadium isn't the greatest yet, but it definitely gets plenty loud on the field as long as everybody gets into it. Unfortunately, with the Crapple cup being the same day in Pullman, many Spokanites will be making the trip south to watch bad pac-10 football as opposed to a very good FCS game. We would LOVE to have as many griz fans come over as possible and root for the Eags next weekend. And you're right, nothing beats playoffs in November! GO EAGS!
 
Great to hear bitterrooter, and glad to have your support! Our fans could learn a thing or two from Griz fans on when and how to be loud. As Front5 already mentioned, we're going to need all the support we can get because of the Apple Cup. It's a shame they couldn't have moved our game to Friday, but you play the hand you're dealt. Should be a great game to watch, with two of the best runningbacks in the nation pitted against one another's defense. Harris and Jones are 1-2 respectively in all-purpose yards in the nation right now.

For as much as there is a rivalry between EWU and Montana- largely owing to the fact we are the only team to beat them with any semblence of consistency, and even that sort of redefines "consistency"- Montana has always been very cordial in defeat. I remember seeing the stands in '97 when a couple busloads of Rgiz fans came to Albi waving their flags to support Eastern against Youngstown State. That was pretty cool.

WOW.....I guess I will have to figure out where the upper parking lot is!! I will be handing out shots of original George T. Staggs whiskey for anyone brave enough to try it. It is 144 proof and considered the best American whiskey made!!! Now you know how Montanans brave the cold at playoff games!!!

EWU better win this game!! Because I want to see another game the following weekend. MSU is playing North Dakota St.....and they can beat anybody.....so if the Cats get beat, you guys would have another home playoff game!! I hope your man Taiwan is healthy enough to put on as good a show as he did against us!!!

tell me more about this whiskey, and where will you be at? I will come by for sure. The upper parking lot is the lot directly above the stadium.

Well, I found the upper parking lot.....spent a couple of hours up there before the game...but I couldn't get too many people to try my George T. Staggs whiskey!! So I ended up drinking most of it myself...and before the game was over, I had slipped and fallen on my right knee... tearing my new pants!!!! DAMN!!!

Next weekend, if anyone wants to try it....just holler BITTERROOTER....and if I turn around, then you will know it is me!! lol

Great game by the Eags!! The Bobcat fans that I know over here said that they just played like crap...ND State isn't that good. The Eags should handle them. Now lets hope for a best case scenario.......Eags win, and Villanova upsets App. State. That would mean a 3rd home playoff game!!!!
 
I looked around for you Bitterrooter, but couldn't find ya. I definately want to try this GT Stagg's whiskey. Is there anything that you would take in return for a taste?
 
Well, it's official. I am coming over again this weekend. Just bought my tickets. I will again be strolling the upper parking lot....and I will hand out shots, but only to true whiskey lovers. To quote John Wayne, "It's not for the young!!". You have to take a shot and not change your facial expression....or you fail the whiskey lovers test!!
 
excellent decision. i made it to a griz playoff game one time a few years ago. awesome experience and our fans could learn a thing or two from yours. see if you can spread the word and bring some more folks over, the tailgate should be a lot of fun this weekend.
