Griz sighting

Had to make a quick stop after work at Lowes hardware Here in Bonney Lake (South of Seattle) and when I parked I noticed the truck right in front of me had a U of M license plate with a go Grizzlies frame around it. Don't see too many of those around here! I was in and out real quick and the truck was still there so I decided to leave a little note on his wind shield. "Go Eags! See you at the infero Nov. 8th". Couldn't pass up a chance to give them a little reminder that Eagle nation spreads far and wide!

Good one Eagledawg!! :thumb:
Sadly I think I see almost an equal amount of Griz stickers as Eagle stickers around the Valley although the tide is changing to the side of the Eagles.
Moral to all:
Wear your Eagle gear proudly and carry a note pad!!

My husband wears Eagles gear often around the South Sound area and it is fun to talk with folks that are either fans, recognize the team or are related to the coaches or players (or a combination)! The comment we get often is "Best college team in the state!"

As I fly in and out of the Spokane airport I make it a point to wear something Eagles and now hear "go eags" and when I am in other airports sometimes asked about the red turf. Good news is people notice and are aware.
Go Eags!

I wrote about this a while back, but in January I was making one of my regular runs to Atlanta, and it just happened to be the week of the National Championship BCS game. A boatload of Auburn and Florida State fans had routed Delta through Portland and were on my flight.

I had an Auburn guy next to me, another pair of Auburn fans in the row in front of me and two Florida State fans to my right. As the people boarded and walked down the aisle, some college age girl came through wearing an Eagle sweatshirt. Therefore, I gave her the obligatory "Go Eags" and high five. After she walked by, all the Auburn fans and Florida State fans started firing off, "isn't that the team with the red turf," "I saw you guys on TV a couple weeks back," " man, that's some good football you guys play..."

It was amazing. 100% brand recognition among people from completely the opposite corner of the country! Fuck it, Eastern is world wide these days!

Great story, love it!

Always sport my EWU gear while in Missoula, and credit to Griz fans, always receive a pretty good reaction...

Not shitting you, I saw an EWU sticker on the back of a car in Savannah, GA a few months back.

My mom and I saw Griz plates in Irvine, CA recently. We honked, booed, and gave them thumbs down (not gang signs  ). I'm sure they were just as surprised to see us as we were to see them.

My EWU flag flies from my house in Bonney lake, I have my alumni license plate frame on my Mazda 6, and I routinely wear an ewu shirt around town. Hope to see you at Lowe's!

Eagledawg,
My son Jeffery who was a Pastor in Moses Lake for the past few years, are being assigned to Bonnie Lake. Heard he found a home in Auburn, WA. We will miss here in this Spokane Area, it was nice driving approximately 1 hour, 20 minutes to Moses Lake. Seattle is a long was for me to drive ;). I was attempting to find out where Bonnie Lake was located. His Church is Covenant Church. BTW the team is looking "GREAT". According to the Big Wigs, this game is "SOLD OUT". I think all of the remaining games will be sold out. Take Care. Vic Wallace

Eagledawg,
My son (Pastor Jeff Wallace) church will be on 33415 Military Rd. South, Auburn, WA. His Church is "Overcomer Covenant Church. He is moving from Moses Lake to that area. Take care. Vic Wallace

Thanks Vic, guess I owe you another fish. Salmon or walleye?

clawman,
Make it Walleye! ;) Are you leaving on the plane with the Players? Regardless, all have a safe trip there to SUU, and back home safely. Team is supposed to return Saturday evening at about 7:30 p.m. I will try and get out to the other side of the terminal and see the team off at 12:15 p.m. Just saw what you spoke about on TV, your blog entry. EWU Enrollment. WSU are on ESPN at 6 p.m. tonight against Stanford, another BUTT Whipping? ;) Hope Jordan West have a good day on Saturday. Vernon Adams will be going with the team. Go Eagles!!!!! Hey Vic;
You got it. I am in Vegas now and driving to Cedar City in the AM. Driving back after the game with talon38. Bobby Hauck and the UNLV Rebels are playing here tonight so think I'll go to that one tonight rather than seeing the Cougs get thumped. I did bet on the Cougs though because they are a 17 point underdog. I think they can cover that spread.
How did the team look in practices this week? Is Jordan West ready for his big day?
See you at the casino Monday.

What do you do Clawman?

If you really are in Veradale you can't be more than 5 miles from me in trentwood.
