It's too bad, I was hoping for a strong Grizzly team to help build our conference rep. Montana's o-line has been torn to shreds with injuries and graduation. You can only get as far as your line will take you. With Cal Poly losing their favorite running back and three other potential starters, it's looking as if we carry the conference again.

He may be back in pads in three weeks, but he won't be good for full contact football games for 5-6 weeks in my opinion. Hopefully he can be back to peak conditioning by the end of the season. In the mean time, this hurts the Griz's ability to win their out of conference games and simultaneously, their chances of getting a playoff seed.

Losing starting OLine is tough. The Griz's real deficiency is coaching after watching several of their games last year. EWU is going to have to carry the BigSky water this year and foreseeable future. Montana had it's run doing the same thing.

After a 100+ year history it's considered a rivalry and acceptable to use FTG, until then try to come up with something original please.

Funny how I see plenty of "FTE" on eGriz.

True, ever since we installed the red turf, it really hasn't been a rivalry....

Despite what words may come out of my mouth during the week leading up to, and during our games against Montana, I really respect their program, and it is in EWU's best interest to have a good Grizzly team helping represent the big sky.

Therein lies the problem. They haven't had a good team since 2009.

And the last time Montana won a Big Sky championship. Ouch.

I thought Montana was going to have a mediocre season prior to all of the new injuries and illnesses. egriz needs to pony up some of their PBR money and buy that quarterback some kevlar body armor. It seems Montana's overall depth at many positions is weak.

Looks like Ellis Henderson, their top WR, could also be out for an indefinite amount of time with a bacterial infection.

That's too bad. Sounds like he has not been 100% since he transferred to Montana. Hopefully he can get healthy soon.
