After taking last week off, the Cats get back to playing against real competition (DI programs). This is the first time this season that the Cats should have a fairly healthy team (absolute sick for Kupsas, but hope he is recovering nicely) facing a DI program. The scrimmage last Tuesday might have helped build chemistry and given this young team some confidence. To me, the most important thing is that Harding was able to play some solid mins and get some in game experience before this tournament.

I'm guessing that Coach starts four guards again and Kozak. Personally, I would start Harding, Davis, Jordan/KJ, Kozak, and Fuller, with Barnes, John, Zdor being the first in off the bench. But, until Bouki is 100% I'm guessing we will continue to see the four guard lineup. No Morris isn't a blue chip athlete or player, but he has 5 years in the program and gives the Cats 5 fouls, great outside shooting, and can play above the rim. To me, Randy is wasting the talent. Start two bigs and use Morris as one of your big options off the bench.

Randy must be an idiot. Dear overpaid coach, Cody John is not a point guard and should never play point guard. Actually, cutting his mins would be the best possible option for our teams success.

We just need to regroup and get back at it tomorrow! I think coach tried some combinations that worked in the second half! I’m glad that Harding is back in the line up. Cunningham seems to have potential. Hate to lose Nero, but got to trust that Coach is putting on the floor the best players that give us a chance to win.

I have to agree. Rahe has wasted his players talent for years now. I think there are some freshman on the team that can play but it will be a matter of time before they fade as there is no building of talent. Maybe Rahe needs to clear out his coaches (especially Merriick) and start new. It seems like since he came for Smiley the recruiting and coaching has drastically fallen. I too feel that giving Morris a chance to play some significant time would be great. Maybe he can play and Rahe needs to give him at least a chance. He might be surprised what he can do. I have watched Morris from day one and he is usually first off the bench during a timeout greeting his teammates. He seems like a leader. Pay him for what he has done and does off the court.

You must have missed the part where our senior guards went 1-9 from 3. It does not matter what combination of selfish guards we go with, chucking up 3's all game will not get it done. Many of the best players that could be on the court have been counselled out of the program. Ask most people that have been around the program for many years, this is a collection of talent that likes to create for themselves rather than a basketball team.

It’s tough to watch this brand of basketball. Chucking up 3s and lazy D. Long year ahead.

The Hein'er posted that Harding was 8/15 and that the rest of the team was 14/45; john was 0/12. So really, sans John, the rest of the team was 14/33. Once again I really don't understand how some players are considered better than Nero. Nero really isn't as good as John?? Really Rahe? Nero is efficient, understands the concept of TEAM, and can pass the rock. Evidently bad skills in Randy's offense.

Murray State and another loss is ahead of us today; especially if we continue to play this lazy, chucker, style of basketball. Movement and passing are HUGE parts of the game of basketball. Not just throwing up 3s.

IMO....Nero wasn't told there were no minutes for him, he made the choice to leave because he could see the problems coming down the road for Weber....I don't think Olds has any inside info on this situation, just his own opinion that he overplays into seeming to be from the inside....

It’s only taken four tries, but the Cats finally put together an above average effort. Losing by 1 to Murray and scoring more than 60 points against a DI is success. One more pass might have been the difference. Nonetheless, a loss is still a loss. On to tomorrow.

We should have had this one. Here is the worst part. I am not sure how many nights we are going to go 50% on our volume of the 3 point attempts. If 50% from 3 wasn't good enough to get a W, it's not going to get any easier

This tournament was their best shot at getting OOC win(s). Now it's very likely they go 0-8 in OOC play (I don't count worthless non-D1 games, and if the NCAA were smart they wouldn't either). When was the last time Weber went winless in OOC play? Probably has never happened.

Well, it works nicely with Rahe's indifference to OOC, doesn't it?
