• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.
  • Hi Guest, want to participate in the discussions, keep track of read/unread posts and more? Create your free account and increase the benefits of your eGriz.com experience today!
  • Guest, do want an ad free experience on BigSkyFans.com among other benefits? Upgrade your account today!

Simply click your profile name > account upgrades > BigSky Club > choose between the year long subscription (two free months) or month to month

Thanks for the continued support. Cheers!

hackers

I'm pretty sure they're automated accounts created and run by a hacking/spamming computer, for what reason exactly, I don't know. They obviously want you to click on the links in their signatures or posts, which will most likely lead you to a phishing site to get your confidential information, or to install a virus or malware onto your computer/phone. The Captchas are supposed to prevent them from creating accounts, but of course hackers always find a way to circumvent preventative measures. You'd think they'd have the accounts post their messages in grammatically correct English to be more believable, but who knows.

Perhaps if CHRIS would answer is PM's and Facebook messages, the issue could be resolved quickly since he has more control and computer know-how than I do. :coffee: :kisswink:

Cant we ban those login names from posting?

The best option would be an ip ban, but I can't do one of those. It is really strange, I have never seen this many bots and spam postings in this board. Even stranger that they are attacking this board in particular. I looked on a few of the other fanplay forums and none of those are being hit like this one. But maybe this one's being singled out because it's more active than the others.

*Edit - Just did a little reading online. One method to prevent these could be to get account activation set so that only mods can activate accounts.

You should be able to.

I don't know how it works for hackers to do this but it is getting very old very quick. It odes not seem like hackers are hacking other sites, why this one?

All the fanplay sites get them, and all the mods there delete them. Some are gotten to quicker than others. I appreciate Ranger keeping vigilant... I haven't had as much time lately to keep them at bay.
