It keeps getting better...Premise this saying been going to EWU games since '75 some more years than others. Lots more for the last ten years and game day experience just keeps getting better and better. Even went to Frisco which was a trip. Yesterdays game was the best yet. Started out by going to breakfast at motel and seeing tons of people there proudly wearing EWU gear(hasn't always been the case). The room beside me was occupied by Cal Poly coaching staff and had a meeting in there before the game. Put a glass to the wall only to hear they were going to concentrate on chop blocking(mission accomplished). We left shortly after for Cheney in a downpour wishing we wold have brought rain gear. Was there two hrs before hand figuring to get our old parking spot when we were surprised to see it was already packed despite the rain. Even saw some parking lots asking $15...most asking $5. Knowing the campus like we do parked on a street below Showalter...not a soul around. Got our stuff, shut the car door and looked up and there was an EWU van with a kindred spirit asking if we wanted a ride to the game. Raining hard we gladly accepted the ride to the front gate. Once there was greeted by friendly staff several times saying they were glad we were there and even when I got out of the bathroom a member of coaching staff was running onto the field stopped and said...glad to see you could make it(didn't know him). Went up to below the pressbox to stay dry and saw Vic and his lovely daughter(s). He was like a celebrity talking, laughing and just enjoying himself with everyone. Wanted to say hi but turned around and he was gone. Video scoreboard was awesome, fans were great, weather broke and food was tasty. Oh yeah, not a bad Football game either.

Nice, very nice. It's funny you would say this because as we were driving around town this morning (a non-game day), I mentioned to my husband how many more cars were sporting EWU decals and the like. Five years ago, all you saw were Zags and WSU stuff. Everything you said about the gameday experience is accurate - love seeing all the tailgating, the students and the full stands! Just love it! Now we and the administration need to build on this momentum to fund the Gateway Project.

I used to see more Griz stuff on cars than Eastern but that is changing.
Great Christmas gift idea- Eagle bumper, sticker license plate holder, or ???
Go Eagles!!

Great post Observer! The other fun part about it is inviting new comers out to a game and watching them come back, and back, and back. Or repeatedly seeing buddies that you know are WSU/Gonzaga fans coming out every week because this is clearly the elite football product in the area.
