Hajek's Knee

Who can confirm James is out until conference play due to knee surgery? This kills us with San Jose, USU, BYU, and UCLA. This news and Wheelwright have me paniced a bit.

I hope that he can do something to stay in some sort of shape. He will need to contribute in our push for a title. It would be nice if he could get a few games in prior to BSC games. I'm sure that Bass will have a plan for him, both pre and post op. In the mean time, if both Tres and Joel get in foul trouble at the same time, we could be in deep crap. :wall:

Hajek had his surgery today and said everything went well.

Nice grab off his twitter feed. Can someone please get Hajek some WSU shorts so he doesn't have to wear those ridiculous Nebraska shorts. Anyway, he will be fine and will work hard enough to make a full recovery. Tough break for a great guy.

saw james at school today on crutches. moving quite slow but i imagine he would be. guess its step one to coming back. and we NEED him back

Missing him during conference play two years back really hurt us, even though he only played a few minutes off the bench. They were solid minutes, though. I hope he recovers quickly.

James is such a great man and team mate. He deserves to have a great year , this year and next.

I'm hoping that he has a speedy recovery and can be a solid contributor in league games. :thumb: :thumb:

What type of surgery did Hajek have? Did they have to put pins in his knee to keep the cap in place? It is the same knee right?

Per an internal source (Bee L.):
A. Triple bypass endometriosis anterior
B. They didn't have to use the 10 pins but since it was a new surgeon they did to get him good practice for future surgeries. They installed what is known as a 7-10 split.
C. No. This surgery was performed on both knees.
