Hard to Blame the Kids from Grambling

You know with those type of travel arrangements and how the athletic department has handled things with Williams I find it hard to blame them. Good for them for taking a stand!

I do feel bad for Jackson State for all the revenue they will be missing out on, but it sounds like Grambling is a circus anyway.

For the 750-mile trip to a neutral-site game in Indianapolis, SI.com reported that the team left campus at 6 p.m. last Thursday and arrived in Indianapolis at 9 a.m. Friday. Grambling lost 48-0 to Alcorn State the next day. Alcorn State, based in Mississippi, flew to the game, Grambling safety Naquan Smith told SI.

Do SWAC schools fund athletic schollies? If so they're getting a free college education and they chose the program. It sucks they're pawns, but shut up and play football instead of impacting other schools. :ohno:

I don't know if what the players said is true or not, but if guys are really getting staph from unclean uniforms and equipment, that is an outright disgrace. Grambling should have money, they historically draw fairly well and those BS SWAC and MEAC teams actually have an ESPN contract.

But I agree, making this Jackson State's problem is not the right way of dealing with it.
