Jerrick Harding just announced he is declaring for the NBA draft. He has not hired an agent and will retain his college eligibility.

I'm going to use Damian Lillard as an example for Harding. Why did he get drafted so high and has been so successful? He was extremely efficient with the ball, made his teammates better, and played defense. This is a great opportunity for him to really get his game evaluated and to develop. Personally, I think it is a brilliant move by Harding and think it will pay off for him.

I totally agree with what Jerrick is doing. He has nothing to lose by doing it. If he is projected as first rounder, take the money and run. If not, learn what you can and return to work on what is needed. He will be playing pro somewhere when he leaves Weber. We will love him either way.

The number 1 thing that will keep Harding out of the NBA is his shot. It is too slow out of his hands. It is almost like he has a hitch in it. His shot is not very smooth, and thats his greatest weakness, over than the fact he is small for the NBA.
