I really like this kid but I think he needs some help from a sports psychologist. The Vandals were giving him open looks and jumping into the passing lane knowing that he wouldn't shoot it. I can understand why he has passed on some 3 balls but he had open 10 - 15 footers last night. He can make those.

To develop into a good floor general, he needs to have the confidence to take shots. When the shot clock is winding down it is if he has a hot potato in his hands looking nervously to get rid of it as soon as possible,

And threads like this will do nothing but help his confidence when he reads them.....

He will fix that issue this summer! The kid is a floor general and will do great for Weber! IMO the best PG at Weber today!

I'm going to remind you that you made this thread!

I hope you are right youngguns and you have every right to remind me. He will have some competition with some of the guards we have coming in. The sad thing is that we need him on the court now. Golden isn't a PG, but he has done what he had to. Last night when Hunter was on the floor they were essentially playing 5 on 4 and not playing up on him.

Hunter's best way to cure what ails him is to let the potato fly. If you don't try, you'll never know what'll happen. Gotta give it a try. I really like Hunter's game. I feel he will become a solid player for the Cats. Looking back, a red shirt might have helped him establish the offensive confidence he needs, but he ended up playing and from my standpoint, which isn't much, he has done good. Next year the Cats will have Senglin, Hunter, and Cannon available at the point. Weber only gets deeper.

you will always miss 100 percent of the shots you never take. Hunter go out and be the hunter. You are as of right now THE Big Sky Hunter! Shoot the lights out Saturday night.

I'm not expecting Hunter to emerge tomorrow night as a 3-point threat. What would be nice is if Richardson could find his shot again.

Agreed on all counts. He's very crafty with the ball, doesn't turn it over and plays sound defense. Not to mention he has a great eye for assists. If he would start shooting when he has open looks, he will be a force. He's already fun to watch, but I wish he shared a little bit of Senglin's aggressiveness.
