Also some good news for the volleyball team:

Looks like a nice backup combo guard. Averaged 21.5 ppg in Juco. In only healthy season at UVU shot 40 percent from the floor, 32 percent from 3 and 80 from the FT line, not a great assist to TO ratio (51-38). Should give some energy and scoring off the bench if he's fully healthy. Adds some much needed depth in light of all the transfers. Joining Clark Wilkinson as another Bengal legacy. Bengals really need a three/four guy now to replace Wilson and Smith.

Now I don't mean to be nit picky, BUT the post only says Abby Jensen will be joining him here at ISU. Does she ACTUALLY have a spot on the team? Scholarship or walk on? I hope so. I LOVE watching ISU Volleyball.

Can't believe Madison would have included that info if she wasn't going to be playing volleyball here as well. It wouldn't be relevant, but what do I know. Assuming there is no turnover, I believe there are 3 scholarships to give for VB. A player from Bonneville was signed last fall, and I heard a player from Wyoming was signed last week. That would leave one spot.

Speaking of UVU, did anybody see the article in the Post Register a few days back on Lindsay Cook, the girls basketball player from Hillcrest? She said that ISU called her the day before signing day, but she told them she had already committed to Snow College. Snow College couldn't get to the Idaho state tournament, but they asked UVU to scout a post for them, since they were attending. The UVU staff gave Snow a heads up on Cook. Found that interesting. Not sure if ISU was interested or not, but calling a day before signing day seemed odd.

Sas:

It is a little unusual but the spring period if I remember right goes through May 23. It's a long period and ISU may simply have been doing due diligence because they have the time. Last I heard and this was at Reno ISU still expected to sign at least one player for the women's team in the signing period.

We'll see how it shakes out.

Sorry for the confusion. It is indeed Abby Jensen's intention to play volleyball at ISU. It's not official yet, but it'll be a big get for the Bengals.

Thanks Maddie! Let's hope Rick can lands this girl.

The official announcement is out and it says Garrity is a graduate transfer with only one year of eligibility left.
