Hayford contract extension

I have heard from several sources that EWU is working on a contract extension for Coach Hayford. While I am not quite sure about the rationale or justification for the extension, I must say that I am happy that the administration is actually going to give the man the time it takes to build a winning team - similar to what we did with Steve Aggers and women's coach Shuller.

Ditto, and he should be given an extension. The program has made marked improvement thr past three years.

An extension for next year perhaps stipulating he must have a winning record and make the BSC playoffs. Struggling to see a marked improvement here; '10-'11 W/L 10-20 (2-14 on the road), '11-'12 W/L 15-17 (6-13 on the road), '12-'13 W/L 10-21 (2-13 on the road), '13-'14 W/L 15-16 (3-12 on the road). Void is a winning record and no playoffs in a weak conference.

Yeah, not a ton of improvement there. But, I guess what I will say is that this upcoming team has the potential to be really good. I think Hayford should have been given a contract extension but agree with Observer that we at least need to make thr post-season this year.
