Helpful to watch other conference teams play head-to-head

This game I'm watching between EWU and MSU is very telling about the culture and expectations of play among traditional big sky football teams. We and Sac State need to conform to this style more in order to really guage ourselves in and among the traditional conference membership and powerhouse teams.

Ne pas?

You mean "n'est pas"? I don't see any way that Portland could conform to a Billings or Missoula style.

I've lived in Billings for 15 years. I can tell you they don't have a style.

Style-of-play meaning style of playing football against one another.

This week-end was a bust. Viks allowed Tubalardo to win again.

Then you must mean Bozeman style, not Billings style. Montana State is in Bozo-Land. :D

I've got to give Montana credit. They went out and played Wyoming and North Dakota State. That is good-and-gutsy scheduling. I have a renewed admiration for their willingness to play close contests in which they truly test their mettle and risk losses. That is precisely what I've been calling them on these past years.

It would be a good study for our coaching staff to view the NDSU-Montana game with the team.

You, bigskyconf, on the other hand, might consider a remedial course in reading comprehension to improve correct interpretation.

And what would make Bozeman a Bozo-land ? They are nearly fellow members of Cascadia. http://cascadia-institute.org/. Lack of style? Not everyone is expected to be a Portland "hipster."

Style usually emerges organically from one's cultural geography, doesn't it? They're probably more into adapting in the native American culture there. Portland's style, by comparison, may look pretty whacked-out.

Touché on the earler poster's n'est pas comment, though. I've got to brush up my Français.

Sorry, I was borrowing a line from my Griz friends. I'll work on becoming more pro-pah.
