HeroSports: The Eric Barriere Era Is Off To An Electric Start For EWU

Where once I was a doubter, now I am a believer.

I think the best thing to happen for Barriere is Gubrud being declared out for the long term. It forced the coaches to change to Barriere's own offense and forced Barriere to reconcile the fact that he was the QB now, not the backup QB.

Clearly, he's risen to the challenge. I think a big issue with the Weber game was that it was Barriere running Gubrud's offense instead of working with the playbook designed for him.

Agreed. I think he has big things ahead of him although I’m not quite ready to call him the annointed one yet. He still has a lot to prove.

I believe EB3 is for real and with more experience under his belt he’s going to be a huge headache for a lot of teams the next 2 years.

Stats so far that only account for games that each QB started. There's more to the story, of course, but I would guess many teams would kill to have their "back-up" within spitting distance of their starter's stats.

Including all stats regardless of whether Barriere started, he actually surpasses Gubrud at 1641 total yards and has 13 TDs; one less than Gubrud.

Apologies for my craptastic table formatting. The table, image, and other general formatting options on this forum are terrible at best...
