Hilarious Post From EGriz

Maybe I'm just drunk but..."Champion's Center". That's a good one. The entire defensive coaching staff should donate their weeks pay to the Gateway Project. Son of a bitch.

Egriz is dark and full of terrors...

Honestly, read the game thread for yesterday. The first half is all about how this is a "special season" and it's all coming together. By the end of the thread, every coach on the staff should be fired for incompetence.

Here's where I think they are most delusional... They actually believe they have top-class talent. If one thing was abundantly clear last night, it was that Montana is not laden with great football players. We moved the ball all over the field and choked our way to an 18 point deficit. Once we got rolling, you really saw the talent difference become evident. And that's especially problematic for them given our rash of injuries.

They continue to think they need to win their in-state recruiting battles and that'll make them a winner. Guess what, guys? You can get all of the top kids from Montana and still finish no better than 4th in the Big Sky every season. The talent in that state just isn't that great. If you can't compete in the Puget Sound area for kids against Eastern, you're going to be < Eastern far more years than not.

Totally agree. I wonder how much they are still dealing with the aftermath of all the off the field issues...that affected recruiting.

Just posted the Montana has 35 players from Mont & Idaho. EWU has 3. Rest are WA, OR, WA and AZ.

Big difference in HS talent.

MSU has 50 from ID & MT. Hmmmm

Yes, I posted in the other thread but there are players in MT, just not as many and if MSU and um go completely out of state the fanbase and booster dollars will be greatly reduced, (this happened to MSU in the 90's)

Are you trying to tell me that EWU wouldnt take a Mac Bignell, Caleb Schribise, Chase Renoylds, Colt Anderson, Bobby or Brad Daly, Chad Newell, Cody Kirk or a Marc Mariannie (excuse any spelling errors)

The majority of these players started as walkon players for the MT schools.

The other factor is that its really difficult for an out of state school to recruit the state of MT

In addition to recruiting our home state (because we don't have the numbers) we have to recruit other states.
