The Green Hornet said:On the Sportsline radio talk show yesterday, Grant Napear and Mike Lamb started talking about Hofstra dropping football. Napear thought it was awful cuz they've had football sixty years and he used to attend their games cuz he lived nearby. Napear then commented that he thought it could happen at Sac State too. Lamb replied that Sac St has increased attendance the last 3 years in a row and Napear came back with, "Oh please!" Lamb then said that we had 17,000 at home vs UC Davis. Napear then said, "Yeah, what are they going to do, play UC Davis 11 times a year?"
It's apparent that the pompous Napear doesn't think much of Sac St football, but he thinks it's a shame Hofstra is dropping it. What's the difference? Becuz he doesn't care about Sac St athletics, he disses us on his radio show. For his information, Hofstra's average attendance this season was 4,260 and Sac State's was nearly 10,000.

Don't listen to the know it all RED HEADED step child Napear. The guy gets much more wrong then he does right. And when he's wrong he will not admit it. He doesn't go to Sac State games and he has no interest so he feels everyone else should have the same opinion.

I heard Napear on the radio yesterday make that statement about Sac State and he really is a flaming a$$! I can't stand the guy. Hey our attendance this year was not to far under what his beloved Kings are drawing now! Grant, why don't you can kiss our collective Hornet a$$ instead of kissing Kings' a$$es all day and night. The day won't come soon enough that you leave this town and go to...oh, who really cares, but Hell's Kitchen sounds good to me. I think the Kings are much more likely to leave this town long before Sac State drops football. Besides for my entertainment dollar, I think $10-15 bucks for a Hornet game is a helluva lot more value than $100 for a King's ticket and its roster of "retired" college players. Most NBA games suck until the playoffs and I don't see the Kings in those any more. Grant, maybe you ought to make an effort to meet Dr. Gonzalez some time and find out what's really going on over at 6000 J you arrogant a$$. I'll almost bet you that our budget is in better shape than the King's budget this year given their attendance ranks 28th out of 30 teams in the NBA so far this year.
By the way Grant, Hofstra average 4,260 per game. That ranks them 88th out of 128 FCS teams. Sac State's average was 9,935 ranking us 32nd in the country. Idaho State and Southern Utah have higher attendance than Hofstra and last I checked they aren't near a large metropolitan area like New York. So please tell me, why should we be surprised they dropped football at Hofstra? :!:  :!:
Just like you tell people all the time on the radio: YOU ARE AN IDIOT! WHAT A MORON! YOU AREN'T A REAL SPORTS FAN!
