I've been around the Hornet football program a long time and I can't remember watching a more exciting and enjoyable finish.
Sincere and well deserved congratulations to the team, Coach Sears and his staff.

Great game the program really needed this one! The offense has looked a lot better the last two weeks once they remembered that Kettringham can use his legs. I thought we were in trouble when MSU put in the mobile QB but the coaches were able to adjust and shut him down late. Have we ever thought of faking punts in some of those 4th and short situations? Merker is a pretty quick QB and also the punter, it might work.
Congratulations to the Hornets and coaches for a courageous and exciting comeback win!
The last three times MSU was in town we left the stadium with 3 point last second heartbreaking losses. It was sure nice to leave last night with the shoe on the other foot!
And way up there with the 1988 win over the Aggies with Coach Mattos at the helm when the Hornets ended the 18 year slide against UC Davis with under 2 minutes to go.
And the overtime win over Oregon State. And the field goal win over the University of Colorado.
So many other special games.
Was just thinking about all the last play or last minute losses to Montana State at Hornet Stadium over the years. Thus, my comment about this never happens...meant against MSU.
