Homecoming Attendance

What does everyone think the turnout will be like this week? PSU is close enough to bring in a decent amount of visiting fans, but it won't be a rabid collection of die hard fans like a match up with UM or MSU.

It is Homecoming weekend so I would expect an extra 1,000 or so in attendance due to increased on campus promotion. We really need to end this homestand with a win...

I would hope to see at least 10,000 there this weekend, but would realistically expect around 8,200 or so.

I will be there tailgatin' it up around noon, so if you see a 6'6 245 lb TE running drag routes with a can of Coors Light in the middle of the parking lot, feel free to say hello!

SH, we might be in need of a 5'7 250 lb QB! :D

How about a 6'1", 250 lb DE?

Jambi says there will be 8,321 fans at homecoming, would like to see 10K but last weeks loss and day start will turn away the casual fan. If we can get the students involved, it might increase slightly to 8,325.

Can you keep contain? If yes, then you're in.

I'm disappointed there hasn't been more of a push on campus to get people to come out to this game. Also, my cousin lives in the dorms and says she hasn't heard a thing about the game... WEAK!

Its because Res Life never promotes Hornet athletics. The gal in charge is anti athletics coming in and dropping off flyers, etc., anything promotional to hype up a certain game or event.

SHA, is she really anti-athletics, or is she just anti-football? I've seen both, and there's a difference. Perhaps you should try to sneak a gymnastics flyer past her. Then we'll know the truth!

Speaking of attendance, here are the updated stats for attendance so far this year in FCS:
http://web1.ncaa.org/mfb/2008/Internet/attendance/FCS_AVGATTENDANCE.pdf

We are 50th out of ~120 FCS teams. We are avg. after 4 games exactly 8,100, and we are one of 3 teams nationwide that have played 4 home games (NW State and Georgia Southern are the other two).

Incidentally, ucd is one spot above us with one game and PSU is two spots ahead of us with one game as well.
