Hornets get Vandalized, 72-58

I hate watching the Hornets lose, please make it stop! Uncle, uncle, uncle.

I only have one thing to say, FACILITIES! Of course, theyre not a cure all, but they'd definitely help. How many more seasons must the Hornet faithful endure what has become the norm...

Everyone could email and or complain to whoever and the facilities wouldnt change, the school has been told TIME AND TIME AGAIN that new facilities are desperately needed. In the end, there just arent enough students, alumni, or community support to pressure anyone to do anything about the current situation.

GO HORNETS!

Portland State and Northridge are doing just fine with similar facilities.

Yes, however, they were able to do major rehab's on their small facilities. Plus, with those facilities, they have the actually physical space where their gyms are located to expand again. The Nest is bound by the pool on one side and Solano Hall on another.

This is just a case where we have 12 new guys and 4 returners trying to mesh with a brand new coaching staff that has completely changed the offensive game. If we stop turning the the ball over, we will win games. Pure and simple.

Many times last night I saw our various point guards try to feed the ball in to Eller, Adams or Edwards down low and they threw it away probably 5 or 6 times. That and we couldn't defend against that #15 hitting 3's. Once he started there was no stopping him.

Why do we need a pool? That sport was discontinued long ago. I don't think Northridge has done anything to their gym, they are anti-athletic facilities, as it's prez is a Don Gerth goon. Portland put down new wood on the court. Not really a major rehab.

PSU actually turned the gym 90 degrees on the inside to allow for more seats to be installed. We really can't do that with our gym as it currently stands. As far as the pool, I agree with you, however, Kiniesiology and Rec Sports use that pool and I don't see it being torn down because there would be too much stink.

New coach or not, last night was tough to watch. I thought the team looked HORRIBLE!!

Very uninspired on both ends - they didn't fight through screens on defense, and they always run the shot clock down, even when it's late and their down big! I really thought the first few games the team showed progress, last night was a huge step back. If things don't change quickly I can see a 2 win season.

Please help!!!!!

Last night was also the second time the team shot under 40% from the field...to think what it would have been had they shot closer to the 45% they have been averaging going in.....and they know these rims, that's what was more disappointing. But Idaho is a good team...did you see the box score on what they did to Irvine on Friday night....they are going to be a mid-level team in the WAC this year.
