In addition to Sankey and MBT being named to the CFL All-Star Teams, the following recognition is in order:

WR DeAndre Carter (Washington FC) - 2 rec, 22 yards, 1 TD. 1 rush, (-3) yards. 1 fum (retained). 2 KOR, 26.5 average. His 4 TDs this season (3 rec, 1 KOR) are his first scores in the NFL.

LBer Darnell Sankey (Calgary) - League-high 98 defensive tackles on the year. Named to CFL West Division All-Star Team. Stampeders face Saskatchewan in the first round of the CFL Playoffs; the winner will play Winnipeg for the West Division Championship.

QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson (Toronto) - Named to CFL East Division All-Star Team. Led first-place Argos with 203 completions in 306 attempts for 2,303 yards and 12 TDs passing against 11 interceptions. 10 rush, 71 yards with a long of 19. The Argos have a bye, and will face the Montreal-Hamilton winner for the East Division Championship.

QB Kevin Thomson (Edmonton) - Signed to the Elks taxi squad.

OL Taylor Tappin (Montreal) - Did not play in Montreal's season finale. The Alouettes play Hamilton in the first round of the playoffs for the right to face MBT and Toronto in the East Division Championship.

I’ve had one of my 4 TV’s on Sunday’s set to the WFT to keep a watchful eye on DeAndre Carter — who is among my all-time favorite Hornets.

He’s been on a roll lately. 3 consecutive games with a TD.

It’s nice seeing him get a real opportunity on offense.
