Hornets in the USFL

Super Hornet 2.0

Active member
The USFL regular season ended last week. Three known former Hornet players recorded stats, including one who made the playoffs and was a candidate for USFL MVP.

McLeod Bethel-Thompson
QB, New Orleans Breakers

On the heels of leading the Toronto Argonauts to the CFL Grey Cup this past fall, MBT is looking at similar results with the Breakers after having "come home" to the States for the sake of his family. He completed 220 of 236 passes for 2,433 yards (leading the League in passing yardage), finished 4th among 10-game quarterbacks with a 243.3 per-game average. MBT threw 14 touchdown passes, good for #3, and only tossed 8 interceptions. He was sacked 25 times on the season, and was second among 10-game quarterbacks with a 90.8 QBR.

Kevin Thomson
QB, Philadelphia Stars

Sac State's "forever quarterback" appeared in two games for the Stars, completing one of two passes for 11 yards, with no touchdowns and no picks. That's not much data to go on, but he did record a 66.7 QBR.

Cole Hikutini
WR, Michigan Panthers

Sac's former receiver caught 21 passes for 239 yards and scored 5 touchdowns.
