Hornets @ MSU

MSU hot from 3 early. Selling got the start instead of Duro. No idea why that decision was made.

8-2 with 17:33 left MSU up early. Eller has been off early, he missed an easy dunk/layup from right under the basket. Hornet timeout, Selling is benched.

14-7 MSU just under 16 minutes left in the first half. Hornets need to settle down, they seem a bit jumpy.

24-17 MSU with 7:44 left in the first. Dickson is getting hot and MSU finally missed a 3 point attempt. The Hornets are doing fine with respect to getting rebounds. They just need to make some shots and keep it close.

37-25 MSU with 54 seconds left in the first. The Hornets look like they are just going through the motions. No emotion what so ever.

38-25 MSU at the half. I don't see how the Hornets can get back into this one, they are just out gunned and uninspired in this one.

50-37 MSU with under 16 minutes left in the game. Dickson is putting together one hell of a game. Aside from that, nothing too exciting from the Hornets. To the Hornets credit, they have picked it up a bit here in the 2nd half. They have been hanging around the 10 point lead mark. If they can pull together a run they can make it a game.

54-45 MSU with 11:44 left in the game. Eller heading to the line for 2. This is almost a game...almost...

The Hornets are battling. Flaggs drills a 3 to pull it back to within 7. 59-52 MSU with 9:52 left. Timeout MSU. The Hornets have been forcing quite a few turnovers. They will need to keep up this defensive play to climb back in this one.

MSU stretches their lead back up. 65-52 MSU with 7:19 left. The Hornets have just missed too many shots from point blank range. The refs are also making a lot of ticky tack calls which have resulted in MSU FT's...which they are making.

I'm not sure how every time an MSU player drives to the hoop there is a foul called, but when a Hornet player drives to the hoop, the whistle never blows.

68-59 MSU with 3:59 left. The Hornets had a chance to cut it to 5 but TB drove to the hoop and threw up one of his terrible floater shots that do nothing but hit the glass.

WOW!!!! TB drills a 3 then follows it up with a steal. On the fast break he feeds Dickson who got possession at the FT line and glided to the hoop. He gets fouls and makes the layup. Sac with a chance to cut it to 3!!

And he doesn't. 3:15 68-34 MSU lead.
