Junior 1B Sasha Margulies (San Diego-Westview HS/Ball State) was named Big Sky Softball POW for her performance in leading Sac to a 4-0 record over UCD and North Dakota. Margulies went 9-14 with 7 runs scored, a homer, and 5 RBI.
Freshperson RHP Celina Matthias (Elk Grove-Pleasant Grove HS) tossed a no-no en route to a 1-0 record and 2.00 ERA in two appearances. She held the Sioux to a .045 batting average over 7 IP and whiffed a dozen.
Sac now stands in a tie with Idaho State (due in for a 3-game series later this week week) for first in the Big Sky (21-19, 10-2 Big Sky).
