Hornets vs. Bye Week

I gurantee another shutout this week and no missed field goals. Take it to the bank!

Here's to hoping that Reed, Deadder, and others can get healthy this week. I think we escaped Greely relatively unscathed considering the elements, and for that I am grateful.

EWU seems to be hitting their stride despite being ravaged by injuries and a slow start. I don't think we've ever beaten EWU at home, but this is the year we finally do it. I'm hoping for some October heat and a well-prepared and well-rested team on 10/22. I watched the EWU/NAU game on BSTV and EWU is beatable. They're soft against the pass and allow a lot of yardage on the ground off-tackle.

Heal up Hornets, and let's finish 4-1 or better so I can finally buy some dang playoff tickets!

That sure beats the Manure Pile, can't beat a D2. I would hate to be San Diego, lost to a team that could not beat a d2, with no prospects of winning the rest of the year.

USDiego doesn't offer scholarships. They shouldn't be considered a D-1 school imo. Just another reason Wanless needs to get off his ass and schedule the mighty Torreros every year.

And it wouldn't hurt that you'd get to see the Hornets every other year (assuming a home-and-home contract) without shipping extraneous money to Southwest, right?

You do know we charter fly to every road game right?

I took it that way as well. A trip to play USD early in the season would provide some Hornet fans with a nice getaway from the Sac heat. :twocents:

Yes, that's exactly what I meant.

SD brings up another good point. Who wouldn't want to take a roadie to SD? Easy to fly in. If you go early enough or schedule enough time after, you can make it to PB, which is about as beautiful as a beach can get. Plus, if you bring the kiddies, you have the Zoo, the Wild Animal Park, and Legoland (in Carlsbad). What a great deal!
