Hornets vs. Griz

The Hornets will host Montana tonight at the Nest at 7:05 pm. Their leading scorers are G Anthony Johnson (17.1 ppg) and C Brian Qvale (11.2 ppg). From the average minutes played, it looks like they run a three guard set with Staudacher (8.4 ppg) and Cherry (7.7 ppg) being the other guards. Qvale is 6’-11’’ and is their inside guy. I’d like to see Katz feed Eller in the pots and see if his agility can draw some fouls to neutralize Qvale. Hopefully the Hornets can keep it a close game.

I'm more excited about the Kitty game on Sunday. If I can make it (currently sick :-( ), I'll get to meet a Kitty who's the son of a Marine I used to work with.

Tough break for the Hornets; I didn’t catch the game but is sounds like the Hornets let this one slip away.

From Hornetsports: “The Hornets had three possessions during the final minute, but could not score. That included the two turnovers during the final 30 seconds of play.”

Terrible time for a couple of turnovers. This would have been a huge win for the program, hopefully Katz can keep the team motivated and playing tough.
