• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

I am a bit curious to how most people know there is a game on Friday and Saturday, or games in general. I would like for all who read this post to please make a comment, short or long, to how you heard/knew about the games. For example: a friend, facebook, text message, newspaper, Internet, tv, radio, pocket schedule, marque on Harrison, wooden signs on campus, ect. I am curious to the most effective way out there. Maybe some of you were unaware about the games. If so there are games this week!! Please let me know your source to knowing! Thanks

I don't think you will really get the information you are searching for from this group of people. Those who would respond to your post here are already diehard fans and probably have season tickets or students who go to the games anyway.
The people on this board is what we would label a "biased sample"
You would need to get a way to poll the general public.
Or, you could try to target an audience that would be the "casual fan" - someone who may or may not come, but it would depend upon advertising, price, etc...

Great point Waldo. I was thinking along the same lines, but you are much more polite than I was going to be.

Season Tkts and Weberhoops.

You could put together a questioner for students and ask them at the game on friday. It could be really simple and could give you some really good info. Or put together a questioner and have the tkt office employees hand them out to those fans buying tkts at the game. Might be really beneficial information. Something our marketers should be doing, but I guess conducting research isn't part of their job. I guess they really didn't understand that part of their degree.

I have not been on this board for very long, but even now I learn of the games courtesy of the Football Program, the FB program always has the mens b-ball schedule in it I tear it out and hang it on my cork board.

I am a bigtime diehard, I already have Weber's 2010 football schedule hanging up.

I have a friend who is a Utah fan and he asks me when Weber plays so he can go.

And Courtesy of our local media, the only way you will know if Weber plays if your not a die-hard is the Standard Examiner, for those who dont get the SE, tough luck, thank you local media.

I have the schedule, printed from the WSU B-ball website printed, and the game days/times posted to my Google Calendar. I see that calendar several times each day.

Now if Big Sky TV was just a bit better in quality and a bit more reliable, I could live with the distance form Weber. Also, I am pleased the scoreboard is part of the Internet-TV broadcast, but could it be sized so that 1/3 of the screen ( at the top) is not taken for the image? The UNC game had a small score image int he top cetner of the broadcast screen.

Its great to have the highest numbers in Conf, but with Weber's tradition, and the fact that we are in 1st place, we should be getting 8-10k fans a game.

as long as we are there to witness this team thats all that matters oh and winning the conf and getting to the big dance! not many teams can say 3 post seasons and 3 conf titles in 4 years. we are close, we gonna do it!
