How healthy are we?

Rahe said after the byu game that Bamforth couldn't feel his arm in the first half and was only 50% healthy, and Hughey was at 60%, and Bullingers foot, and separate ankle were very sore. This is a concern, and will be all season.

The year without Lillard is going to be a growth year for everyone else. These injuries will only strengthen our bench for next year. We are going to suffer a bit this year, but we are still a very good team, with a lot of young talent. These other injuries, although nagging, are not show stoppers. In the end, it will only build character. JR and BJP will get more playing time.

Jordan is coming along fine. He is starting to look more and more comfortable with the offense. Its only a matter of time before he finds his range. The nice thing is he is an excellent FT shooter, and has a number of offensive weapons.

Sounds like Bam is going to be missing some time. He needs to be out at least a week or so. He's got to get as healthy as he can. HELL...out team is like a mash unit.

WEBER'S WOES

Losing point guard Damian Lillard was bad enough for Weber State. Now the Wildcats will be even more short-handed at the position after backup Scott Bamforth suffered an injury to his right shoulder. Weber State coach Randy Rahe said that Bamforth cannot make the injury worse and will play through it, but will not be as effective.

“His shoulder has been reaggravated,” Rahe said. “He’s usually good for a half, but he can’t do as much in the second half. On the second night of a road trip, (the shoulder) doesn’t have a chance because it’s so worn out. Against Montana, he didn’t do anything and it came out.”

Rahe said freshman Jordan Richardson will be counted on to step up and fill the minutes vacated by Lillard and Bamforth.

This hurts alot, but it can only help Richardson, now is basically his time to shine. He needs to step up and take advantage of the opportunity, him and Porter.

Sounds like Mahoney could be out a couple weeks with his same calf issue as last year. Doesn't sound good.

Rahe said Porter is playing half speed with a very sore back.

Did he tweek it on his shot in the first half? That was a great move for the Mahoney... Too bad, he is a great defensive presence in the paint, and he has his moments on the offensive side. The two area that Weber will really miss him is in rebounding and blocked shots.

This is an interesting year. I always look on the bright side of any situation. Look at all the young players getting minutes this year. A healthy Wildcat team next season could be verrrrrrrrrrrrry dangerous. In addition, it gives some of those players to shine THIS YEAR. I am excited for tonight.. Anyone for Bengal burgers at the tailgate?

Yeah, thats the most important part of the injuries, the Cats younger players are getting a lot more time on the court than normal.
