Fans would come see Nevada vs Weber State in the Dee?


Montana hosted Nevada a few days ago and had a grand total of 2,946 fans at the game, must still be football season in Missoula. Actually, UM has only had 2 games over 3,000 (3,529, 3,212)


The reason I bring this up is because we are always complaining about the size of our crowds, but if you look above.......it could be a lot worse
 
Keep complaining until the place sells out! Getting 6k to SUU really showes how far we have come. Last time SUU came we got around 3500.
 
even as good as griz are in basketball, they are still a football school so their fans have a hard time getting amped for the sport. also a large number of griz fans that go to football games drive great distances. many even are far enough that they stay with friends and family or hotels for griz home football games. that wont happen for basketball. but you could say there should be a lot more students. sounds like students are showing.

when griz hosted pac 12 oregon state last yr they only had 4,000 at the game.

i think weber would get a big crowd for nevada or a pac 12. we host a supposed pac 12 next week.
 
Actually, it seems everyone else in the Big Sky is still in football mode, our board is the only one that is seeing constant action in the hoops department
