With Southern Utah out of the way, the ISU men's team faces its biggest week in memory: at Weber Monday night, then home against Montana Thursday and Montana State Saturday (both in Reed Gym). The men could conceiveably play their way into contention for the regular season title -- or completely out of the picture by the end of the week.
I worry about the Bengals' lack of depth, especially during a three-game week, and Bill shortened his bench again last night, basically relying on just two subs -- Magot and Evans, with Tyler getting just five minutes and Smith not seeing the floor. I suspect we'll see him go a tiny bit deeper as the week goes on.
Attendance has been down again this year, too, and I'd love to see 2,500 in Reed for both of the Montanas. Reed always makes a great atmosphere, and the Bengals played very well there last year against the Bobcats (a blowout win) and the Grizz (a narrow loss). Come on out next week and let's "restore the roar" a little bit for ISU hoops.
(Oh, and don't forget the women's game Monday night against Weber in Reed!)
