I DO like Mondays

The Boom Town Rats were wrong! (for those over 40  )

I drive the wife and kids nuts each Monday as I put in the ear buds at 3:00. :D

The Patchin show is fantastic radio for a local show and it's fun to listen to their commentary on us, the Hawks, Cougs, etc. on Monday. They give us a way better billing compared to the cougs than the Spokesman does. Then…the EWU coaches show with Larry, Paul, Beau, and guests. I know I'm preaching to the choir here but it never ceases to amaze me how professional Larry is, Sorenson being the perfect homer foil, and listening to Beau's coaching philosophy and how they go about their week.

Larry and Paul should be doing national shows on ESPN and Beau should be writing motivational/coaching books and seminars and making millions (so that he can afford to stay in Cheney of course).

We have it really good right now. Enjoy the ride.

agreed! listening to the whole thing right now (and even listened to the Cougs stuff).

Listening to the coaches show now. I admittedly usually have to listen the the coaches show on the podcasts due to personal conflicts, but I agree they we are very lucky to have such great media options...not only Paul and Larry, but also think Root, etc. It's a great time to be an Eagle fan.

Now if we can just get this new President on board with the stadium project.

For those of you that live in Spokane and do not make it out to the Coaches show at Northern Quest, you are missing an entertaining event. If you can not make it out to the casino, tune in to http://700espn.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
A couple of items of interest:
In the UC Davis game there were 13 d-linemen in the rotation, 7 of which were either red shirt or true freshmen and 2 others are sophomores. The future looks bright on the d-line!
When Larry asked Cody Mcarthy (one of the guest players) about the similarities between a hunter and a linebacker, Cody responded, hunt it, get it, kill it!

Great question last night from Clawman regarding d-line rotation. I've attended and listened to countless Coaches Shows and heard some great interviews, many others on this forum can testify to that. Mario Brown was terrific last night.

But in my opinion the interview with Cody McCarthy was the best I've heard. If my house catches on fire I hope he answers the call once he becomes a fireman. Hundreds of tough as nails players in the long history of Eagle/Savage football. I'm not sure if any are tougher than Cody. He may have some equals from the past but listening to him last night was just inspirational. Never a victim, great philosophy for a successful life. Thanks to Coach Baldwin and staff for recruiting young men like Cody to our community.

THe 1/2 hour that Beau does, before the radio program, is just great. He has helped Sue understand the game so much more. It is fun to see her recognize plays and situations in the game now. I know that makes the games so much more enjoyable for her and the others that attend those coaches show.
