We need to cheer for Utah State tonight as well, (wow just threw up a little bit in my mouth).

They are playing Hawaii tonight at home, and with the Aggies losing 4 of thier last 5, they have not been helping our RPI, also I guess we should cheer for St. Mary's to beat LMU, though I dont think that will be much of a problem.

from big sky site:

RPI REPORT: Despite a 14-point win over Northern Arizona, Weber State dropped 10 spots in this week’s RPI report from 72 to 82. Weber State still maintains a big lead on other Big Sky teams in the RPI. Montana is 137. Portland State improved 50 spots this week, moving to 159. Eastern Washington dropped 51 spots to 209. Syracuse is first, followed by Duke, Baylor, Michigan State and Kentucky. The Big Sky moved up one spot among conferences to No. 24. The Big Sky is just behind the Southern and just ahead of the Big West.

According to Live-RPI.com we are now at 72 without even playing a game, probably had a little help from BYU who won at Virginia Tech last night.

Nevada is at 71

Bracket Buster weekened is going to be huge for the Sky. We need our quality opponents, who are taking part in the buster, to do well (i.e. St. Marys, San Jose St, and USU...I'm hoping that none of them end up playing Big Sky schools) and also, we need our conference mates to win as many games as possible. That will be the best bet to improve the Sky's overall RPI.

Also, the more USU, Utah, and B..Y..U win, the better it makes the Cats look. Besides, we don't have to play any of them again, so why not cheer for them. They are, afterall, Utah schools; even if the Y is located in the semi-autonomous region of Provo. If Utah were to beat UCLA, which would be a miracle, even though UCLA is definitely struggling right now, it would drastically improve their overall RPI and make our win over them that much more impressive. Also, it would help some of our other conference mates, MSU and ISU. We need Cal to play better.

after what you have seen thus far, why are you even bothering to hope that schools like utah or most of the big sky will be winning any meaningful games? a few big sky wins over the big west wont shoot us up to a 5 seed.

we just need to worry about winning games, rpi...sod it.

You're a cheesus!

Wildcat, Basically we need to cheer for every team that we played. We need all of our opponents to win. Heck, it would be nice if even Jacksonville State won some games   Most important, we need to win our games and see what happens. In 02-03, we had a 12 seed. which would be nice again this year... i think our rip was something like 26 going into the big dance... I think a 11-13 seed seem reasonable assuming we win out...
