I think we have found our rival.

Sounds like the game might even be played at Rio Tinto. What a great way to connect with fans and alumni in the Salt Lake Valley. I hope the rivalry does get known as the civil war.

Playing at Rio Tinto will be fun to see. Calling it the Civil War though is lame and unoriginal as that is the big rivalry game in Oregon as an FYI. Needs to be original, something of our own. :twocents: I am sure they will come up with some options and let us vote. Or at least let us make some suggestions. It is up to us to decide since SUU's fans do not use computers.

I like the idea of the Civil War, since its NORTHern Utah vs SOUTHern Utah.

other ideas?

Battle of I-15?
Battle for the Golden Spike? (Golden Spike traveling trophy included)
FCS Rumble?
Battle of Rio Tinto (If the game is moved there)

I dont have many good ideas, thats why I stick with the Civil War.

Beehive Brawl, but I am afraid that might be a little :lame:

I do NOT like the idea of holding this game at Rio Tinto - what is the benefit? I doubt attendance will increase much. You will get 3-4 k Weber fans and 3-4 k SUU fans to travel and get just about the same attendance you would as a home and home series. You will lose money because somebody has to pay to rent the stadium. Remember when Weber played USU in the Delta Center? That was scrapped because of the rental fees and relatively lower attendance.
Keep it home and home. I doubt you will get more media coverage by holding the game at Rio Tinto and you will likely lose some $. Also, local merchants get ticked because you take shoppers outside the area.

I do like the idea of holding the game on a Friday night before general conference. USU and BYU have made that a tradition and it works for them.

What a stupid idea

Im kinda with SWeberCat02 here, WSU gets hardly any fanbase in Ogden alone, add another hour to thier drive they might be less inclined to come especially if say the game gets on tv.

I am a fan of alternating home games.
