Idaho players at the three universities

I just did a count of Idaho players on the 2015 football rosters for BSU, UI, ISU.

Here are the numbers:

BSU: 20

UI: 17

ISU: 32

While I don't necessarily root more for Idaho players, there is a view around Pocatello that ISU does not recruit Idaho kids. That is not the case. What is most important from a competitive advantage standpoint is that the UI playing FBS football helps ISU. As Mike Kramer stated in a Boise radio interview this summer, ISU has its pick of FCS caliber players in the state. The Boise Valley, in particular, seems like a new recruiting base for ISU that did not exist 20 years ago.
 
Thanks for doing the math, Spudbowl. Those who pay attention know and appreciate how many Idaho kids Kramer is signing. They are obviously good enough, and its good for building fan base.

Kyle Franko should do a story on the numbers to educate those who don't pay close attention.
