Hope everyone is ready to watch another good game. This one should be fun as ISU has the league's best defense so far.

They really shouldn't be able to match up too well with the Eagles though Jeffrey Solarin (12.0 points and 8.9 rebounds per game) has come on of late and Chris Hansen (15.5 points and 3.3 rebounds per game) is a very effective scorer. If the Eagles can function well in half court offensively they should win handily.

Rough start for sure.

Eagles need to get after the boards on Defense and need to hit a few from range on Offense and / or penetrate that zone to loosen things up

Eagles on a 10-0 run now, three times the penetrated by pass or dribble and the fourth was a deep deep three from Tyler Harvey.. were we really worried for a minute there?

Not a great shooting night so far. Gotta believe that will improve in the second period.

Yeah really have to think they will figure this out, they showed the recipe in that 15-0 run. Penetrate by dribble or pass and the zone crumbles by either opening up outside or leaving the lane open

Bogdan Bliznyuk is really stepping up tonight ... and the Eagles need him! He's got 12 pts 3 rebounds and 2 assists which is so important in a 6 point game with Drew Brandon out.

Tyler Harvey is having an off night 3 of 8 from 3, 4 of 11 overall, a win tonight will mean more with Harvey having a bad night and Drew Brandon not playing at all. They miss Brandon on the boards a lot!

Anyone there tell me if the officiating is as bad as it looks on my computer?

I think the insane clown posse showed up to to Reese Court to officiate this game. Good win. Not the best game we've played by far but we need to win these kind of grind it out games when the offense isn't there. Bogdan is going to be a special player here.

Yeah, not the greatest night on offense but it was good to see them take control in the last few minutes. A couple big shots by Von Hoff there towards the end.

Only just caught the last few minutes on the radio. Does anyone know why Drew Brandon hasn't been playing?

Larry Weir stated that Drew Brandon was suffering from back spasms and had restricted movement. Really missed him on the boards. Really good win. Go eags!

The players on this team understand what it takes to win.The veteran players show great leadership and the teams record speaks for itself.Having 11 wins this early in the season is a great accomplishment.Having role players step up and come through for the team when injuries occur is vital for success.Hopefully the players stay healthy and maintain the mental toughness needed to keep this amazing season rolling. This team could win 25 games this year.Imagine what 25 wins would do when recruiting future players to come to the school.Having the ability to play with the leading scorer in division 1 mens basketball which is currently Tyler Harvey is a major bonus for the program. Also lets not forget Venky Jois is number 28 in scoring in the nation which is also a great accomplishment. The future for the basketball program never looked as good as it does now.Thankfully Coach Hayford is signed to the program for 5 more years.

EWUEagleEye,
Glad you had an opportunity to get a portion of the game on the Radio. Tyler and Venky had a little off night. They scored when they had an opportunity. Venky was a Bad Dude, blocking so many shots. I was kind of worried when Tyler Harvey missed his first few 3 pointers, I kept saying all he need to do is hit one 3 pointer, and he will come through. RE: High Scorer with 17 points was #32, Bogdan Blitznyuk, (Bee D. Bee), #44, he hit two 3 pointers to put us up with minutes to go in the game. Great to see we had some other Scorers show up. I retired over 40 years ago from the Air Force, and that is something I am very proud of. My little kid brother followed me in the Air Force, served 25 years, and spent some time in Vietnam. He now lives in Sin City ;) ;) ;) ;). Thank you for your service also. I have always said the Military is the best place for someone at a young age to join if they don't know what to do. I used to say they will have 3 meals per day, check coming twice a month, Medical for him/her family as long as they keep their minds clear, etc. Attendance at the game last night 1600+, and the Students are not back until Monday. Should start returning today. It is snowing pretty hard now, 4-7 inches between now and Monday, possible followed by freezing rain. I retired from EWU Aug 31, 1995, was Chief Of Police, University Police for 21 years. Love working at EWU, Outstanding Students.   :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: . Good Morning!!
