Idaho State @ EWU: GDT

Anyone have any unusual concerns about this one? Much like Montana State, I think we'd absolutely have to lay an egg to lose. We haven't done that yet this year, so it seems like we'd be massive favorites.

Again, I think this is a game where we can gauge where our D is at. Idaho State obviously found ways to score a lot of points on the Griz, so it's a good measuring stick to see where we stack up. Strangely, the Fighting Kramers managed to score a lot on Montana despite a rash of OL injuries. We should be able to impose our will in every facets of this game, so that's probably what to watch for.

Interesting that they were able to score so many points on Montana. It looked to me like they had some real playmakers on offense.

I think its interesting how all the Montana Trolls have stopped talking about how weak our defense is and how their strong defense gives them an advantage over us. Oh how the tide has changed. I watched the Montana ISU game and the Griz D was HORRIBLE!!! They can't play a lick of coverage although ISU split end KW ? is pretty talented. The Griz did knock ISU starting QB out of the game. Will be interesting to see if he returns against EWU. I think if we can keep ISU under 24 it would be a good showing by our D. ISU will see probably get about 14 possesions and if we could keep them to 4 scores with 10 stops that would be a decent job.

The announcers eluded to a concussion but it was never confirmed. ISU had their 2nd and 3rd string QB's in for pretty much the whole 2nd half.

Doesn't look like their starting QB will make the trip tomorrow.

It seems their backups did a good job in his absence against Montana.

I will be interested in seeing how the wind effects the QB's tomorrow, especially Gubrud. He really struggled in the wind against UNI. I hope he's able to get a handle on it against Idaho.

Maybe my recollection is totally off, but has it always been this windy in Cheney? I don't remember every single game with wind being an issue like it's been the last couple of years. I remember rain, snow, and general shittyness, but wind is such a huge issue week-in and week-out like it seems to be every home game recently.

My wife and I recall that Cheney gives Chicago a run for it's money on being the "Windy City". :D

There are no concerns about this game either. Keep everyone healthy and put the W up and all is well.

As a fly fisherman, I can confidently say this has been the most windy year I can remember.

Did we sell out this game or did this match up break our 19 game sell-out streak? I just do not remember seeing anything about it on Facebook.

Also, fun fact, we are 27-9 in all time series with Idaho State! :thumb:
